Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
From the moment
I was called into full time ministry, I have clung to a life verse.
That verse is;
Galatians 2:20
"For I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live,
but Christ lives in me, the life I live in the body, I live by faith
in the Son of God, who loves me, and gave himself for me."
This verse reminds me
as it should all Christians that God loves each of us abundantly more
than we can understand. This Love is reflected in the life,
death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
God's love for us is
obvious by his actions of love and forgiveness, and it is him loving
us first that should invoke our only appropriate response, that of
loving and serving Him. So it is that "I no longer live,
but Christ lives in me." It is not just on Sundays that
God wants our love, but every moment of every day.
God not only loves
you, but he has a plan and a purpose for your life. He wants
you to trust Him, and follow his leading. God also assures us
that as we believe on the name of Jesus we receive eternal life which
is only by His grace, through faith.
The Geneseo United
Methodist Church proclaims the hope of Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior of the World. We seek to affirm people in their
established walks of faith, as well as shine a light on the path for
others to see. We believe it is in the lives of individuals
within our community that God works to touch, heal and call others to
Himself. We seek to live obedient lives of love and service to
each other and to God while proclaiming that love and hope to the
world.
If you are looking for
a place of love, forgiveness, acceptance, and maybe the answers to
life, consider opening your Bible, turning toward Jesus, then visit
your friendly country church, Geneseo United Methodist.
